RS2

Few fly patterns have earned the reputation of the RS-2. Developed by legendary Colorado fly tier Rim Chung in the mid-1970's, the name stands for "Rim's Semblance 2." Originally designed to fool the selective fish on the South Platte River, the RS-2 has become a staple on spring creeks, tailwaters, and freestones rivers across North America. Its sparse profile perfectly suggests and emerging mayfly or midge trapped in the surface film-that vulnerable stage that trout often target quite aggressively. Simple, subtle, and remarkably effective, the RS-2 belongs in every serious fly angler's fly box.
